It's a New Year

Things around here have been busy and hectic. I made new years resolutions that would cripple the most adept single person out there. Needless to say I've not checked off as many things as I would like. Stockshow is just around the corner, a newsletter just went to the printers and a calendar still need to be created. My storage unit has been emptied- into a trailer. That trailer needs to be emptied next week. Sleep? who needs sleep? Yet for all of this I have come across this inner calm, new to me for sure, but I like it. I am still able in the face of all these must do's to take the time to eat dinner with the kids and really talk to them, not think about my list. We have made efforts to do more craft activites which they both really enjoy.
I won't credit it entirely, but I thnk that my I pod is helping. my compulsive need to make lists and then I misplace or don't look back, or God forbid rewrite the same list. I now list on my I pod and when I go to relist I see it is there and I am OK.
Some things have gotten crossed off and some have not, but I spend less time planning the list and more time doing and that makes this New Year feel very success ful already.
